Can Parent Coaching be done with one Parent?
Parenting coaching works best with both parents so both parents are congruent when communicating with the children. Both of you are aware of why the other parent is communicating that way and how to best support their approach. If this is not possible, coaching can be very beneficial to either parent. As the children will get most of their values and beliefs from their parents we encourage any or all parents to seek some coaching or parenting course.
How does Parent Coaching different from a parenting course like ‘Conscious Parenting for a new paradigm’?
Parent coaching is done with one or both parents with one coach rather than in a group scenario. This allows you to get answers to questions specific to your family. The whole coaching program is personalised to you and your family offering utmost flexibility. You set your outcomes for the coaching so specific requirements are easily catered for and the sessions can be altered as things arise in your family life.

Is my Parent Coach a parent?
Yes. Your coach will have both knowledge and practical experience as a parent. Ask your coach about their children and how they have resolved scenarios quickly with the children’s help.
What is the length of the Parent Coaching?
Parent Coaching programs are customised to suit your needs. After your initial complementary consultation, your coach will recommend one or several alternatives based on what outcomes you want from the coaching. Our Parenting Programs range from a “pay as you go” coaching program right through to an initial Parenting Program and regularly on-going support sessions.
As Parent Coaching is Personal Coaching concentrating on the parenting and family areas of your life you may find more of your questions answered in our coaching and train faqs page.

How many people are on each course?
The course size depends on the venue and also what is practicable in order for the instructor to complete all of the course content and answer any questions that may arise during the course. Please feel free to e-mail us or phone if you would like to know the maximum size of a particular course.

How does the Conscious Parenting for a new paradigm course differ from other Parenting Courses?
All parenting courses that offer both parents and the children effective ways of communicating are excellent. The Conscious Parenting for a new paradigm course goes one step further and provides new insights into the 'new' children, why they are different from previous generations and what our responsibility is in assisting them in being their true selves. Also this course puts your growth, independence and relationships as the number one priority.
Have you ever left a course with a few questions to ask and then a few more questions arise as you start utilising what you have learnt? Ignite Choice recognises this need and offers many different modes of support after completion of the course. See below for further details.
After I finished my program is there on-going support?
Yes, at Ignite Choice on-going support is very important to ensure your Course produces the results that you set for yourself. E-mail, phone and/or coaching sessions are all ways we can support you after your course.
- E-mail are preferred for non-urgent matters as your instructor can answer your questions when they have free time or at night. If you don't have access to e-mail then phone support would be most appropriate.
- Phone may be more appropriate for urgent matters. Please phone and we will answer your questions over the phone. If your instructor is busy when you phone they will return your call as soon as possible.
- Coaching sessions whereby the instructor becomes your coach and talks to you or you and your family in our Office, in your home or over the phone. Depending on the nature of the question we can decide where is most feasible. For questions where the children are directly involved a home consultation is usually preferred and together we will determine the best course of action. Please contact your instructor to discuss this further.
Please note: Our courses are priced to ensure as many parents/carers can attend as possible. Although we are happy to provide support, excessive support will be incurred at our coaching rates.

What are the characteristics of the 'new' children? or What are the Indigo Children?
The Indigo Children exhibit new and unusual set of psychological attributes, revealing a pattern of behaviour generally undocumented before. This pattern has singularly unique factors that call for parents and teachers to change their treatment and upbringing of these children to assist them in achieving balance and harmony in their lives, and to help them avoid frustration.
Here are some attributes to help you identify Indigo Children:
- They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it).
- They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others don't share that.
- Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents 'who they are'.
- They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
- They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
- They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don't require creative thought.
- They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like 'system busters' (non-conforming to any system).
- They seem anti-social unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
- They will not respond to 'guilt' discipline ('Wait until your father gets home and finds out what you did').
- They are not shy in letting you know what they need.

What if I cannot attend the course due to unforseen circumstances arising?
Being parents ourselves, we understand unforseen circumstances arise. You can attend another course in the future to attend with no penalty. Please give as much notice as possible as other parents/carers may wish to attend the course.
What if I cannot afford the course investment?
Our Courses are designed to be affordable to as many people as possible. If you genuinely cannot afford the course investment please phone us to talk about how we can help you.
